Headed to music or art festivals this summer and not quite sure what to pack? We might be able to help you out! Read on for a fool-proof style guide on things to pack!
All photos will be linked for purchase information if you are in love with them all as much as I am!
A Classic Playsuit
It’s a shirt and shorts all in one! Not only do you not have to worry about matching but you are saving room in your backpack for your accessories, baby wipes, and shawl for the cooler evenings! My personal favourites are anything floral or tie-dye and preferably strapless or thin strapped to avoid large tan lines and keep me cool!
A Sun Hat
It’s going to be hot and your face will thank you if you bring yourself a sun hat to protect yourself from the hot rays! That being said – it doesn’t mean you can’t be fashionable about it! Popular right now (which means easy to find on the fly at local stores), are fedora/sun style hats! You can get a round crown style or one with pinches in the side like a fedora depending on what suits you best! I love black hats as they are versatile and match everything!
An absolute staple and an ever-growing trend this summer, is the kimono! These pieces cover up your shoulders and neck from the sun while keeping you cool with their lightweight fabric! Jazz up a simple outfit with a fun pattern!
I am in love with lace bralettes this season! Victoria’s Secret and Aerie just came out with some new ones and I can’t wait to get my hands on a pastel colour! Layer these under a loose cami or as a shirt under a kimono with some high-waisted shorts!
A choker (of course)
As Taylor Swift pointed out and I have repeated times before – chokers are the flower crowns of this festival season! I recently stumbled across a friend of a friends new choker company called Breathtakingto! Best part is? They are all 10$ Canadian (with the exception of the limited edition choker! I would definitely call a choker the go to accessory for this festival season and really for this summer!
