A Weekend Away is a Vacation for the Soul

canoeing blog photo     Picture yourself sitting in the forest or by the water somewhere. You have no cellphone reception, no wifi, and no connection to the outside world or the problems you have to face every day. No conflicts or tasks to complete. You have no commitments except the one to yourself to enjoy what is around you and relax.

How very rarely we get to just tune out the world around us and relax. It is not often that we can take a break from our responsibilities and get to experience what it feels like and means to just, be. With all the work we put in everyday and all the unpleasant tasks we have to complete we get so caught up in the little things and forget the big picture.

We were put on this earth not only to nurture and contribute to society but to enjoy life. If you can’t enjoy it and do what you want in a day, you aren’t living life to the fullest. Sometimes a weekend away can help you realize that fact, one you have so quickly forgotten.

My weekend away revealed a lot, and helped my get back on track to what I always said my main goal in life was; to be happy!

Here’s a few snaps from the weekend full of amazing people, new experiences and a state of just being happy.
